Background of study: Grade 10 trigonometry requires digital resources that support reasoning, not merely transfer printed material to a screen.
Aims and scope of paper: This study developed and formatively evaluated a Smart Apps Creator e-module structured through Pólya’s four problem-solving stages.
Methods: The study implemented seven stages adapted from the ten-step research-and-development procedure described by Sugiyono, potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, and product revision. Evidence comprised teacher input, 23 daily-test records, a Google Forms needs questionnaire whose respondent total was not recorded, validation by two media experts and two content experts, and responses from 21 Grade 10 students.
Result: Recalculation from the raw validation scores yielded media ratings of 91.7% and 93.3% (combined 92.5%) and content ratings of 92.5% and 76.3% (combined 84.4%). Student responses reached 79.2%. Expert revisions addressed navigation, readability, mathematical notation, content organization, problem-solving examples, images, and game functionality.
Conclusion: The e-module showed formative feasibility and perceived appeal in one school context. Its effectiveness for achievement or problem-solving performance was not tested.
