Authors may submit a new manuscript to Journal of Religious Studies (JORS) or track the status of their pending submissions through this platform.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to ensure that their manuscripts comply with all of the following requirements. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned for revision prior to peer review.

Please confirm that:

  • The manuscript is an original work that has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication in another journal. If any part of the manuscript has been disseminated elsewhere, a clear explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor.

  • The submission file is prepared in an acceptable document format, namely OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or Rich Text Format (RTF).

  • All references are complete and accurate, and URLs or DOIs are provided where available to ensure transparency and accessibility of sources.

  • The manuscript text is single-spaced, written in 12-point font, and formatted using italics instead of underlining (except for URLs). All tables, figures, and illustrations are embedded within the text at appropriate points and accompanied by clear titles and captions.

  • The manuscript fully complies with the stylistic, structural, and bibliographic standards outlined in the Author Guidelines of JORS.

The Articles section publishes original research articles, theoretical and conceptual papers, and critical reviews that align with the aims and scope of Journal of Religious Studies (JORS). All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic rigor, originality, and relevance to international scholarly debates.

Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts that demonstrate strong analytical frameworks, methodological clarity, and engagement with contemporary issues in religious studies.
