Digital Preservation Policy

At Journal of Religious Studies, we are committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility and preservation of all articles published in the journal. As part of our responsibility to the academic community, scholars, and readers, we apply industry-standard digital preservation techniques to safeguard the integrity and longevity of content related to theology, philosophy, spirituality, and the broader field of religious studies.

To achieve this, we deposit content in trusted digital repositories, including the CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) archive. This system guarantees that articles will remain available even in the event of technological changes, server failures, or other unforeseen risks.

In addition, we collaborate with recognized archival services to ensure that both metadata and full-text content are continuously updated and remain accessible across multiple platforms, regardless of technological shifts. All articles are stored in compliance with global standards for digital preservation.

By adhering to these digital preservation protocols, Journal of Religious Studies guarantees sustained access to high-quality research. This effort helps maintain the scholarly record and ensures that knowledge in religious studies remains available for future generations of researchers, educators, and the public.
